The Beyonder is a powerful, reality-warping cosmic being from another dimension. He is the main antagonist of Season 4: Secret Wars.

History[]

The Beyonder is a humanoid cosmic being with the power to warp reality.

The Beyonder creates Battleworld out of other worlds as part of his experiment. In the episode "Beyond", he recreates Avengers Tower for the Avengers and New Avengers and he tells the two groups about Battleworld as part of his experiment. In the episode "Underworld", it's revealed that Beyonder manipulated Loki. Beyonder also demonstrates his abilities by splitting the Hulk and Bruce Banner apart before sending the two to the other parts of Battleworld.

In the episode "The Citadel", Beyonder has Ares, Absorbing Man, Crimson Widow and MODOK bring him both Iron Man and Captain America. While his enforcers fight Captain America, Beyonder tries to convince Iron Man to be a part of his experiment. In actuality, Beyonder manipulates Iron Man and Captain America to fight each other. Wanting to see who will win, he gets blindsided when the two Avengers were acting and get away with his own information. Enraged, Beyonder's abilities swat his enforcers away, however, he spares Ares for his future revenge.

In the episode "The Wastelands", Beyonder goes after the Avengers' two groups due to wanting to undo Battleworld. He first sends Ares and an army of Ghost Riders, and then personally goes after the two groups, leading to Jane Foster using the power of Mjolnir to destroy him once and for all and ending his twisted experiment.

Unique Physiology: Despite his humanoid appearance, Beyonder possesses vast cosmic power.

  • Superhuman Strength: He naturally has superhuman strength, being able to beat up and rag doll Tony Stark while Tony wore an armor created out of the Beyonder's knowledge.

  • Nigh-invulnerability: He naturally has enhanced durability, allowing him survive being plummeted by massive boulders and explosions with minimal injuries.

  • Cellular Regeneration: The Beyonder unknown physiology is modified with unknown technology that allows him to regenerate his cells indefinitely when hurt, allowing him an endless lifespan. He can even regenerate his clothing at will.
  • Flight/Levitation: He has shown a natural power to levitate and fly at high speeds.
  • Reality Manipulation: The Beyonder has bio-technological implants within his body, which allow him to manipulate reality.
  • Dimensional Splicing: He was able to summon dimensional spaces from different worlds in different dimensions without any difficulty.
  • Portal Creation: He can create portals to other dimensions and planets.
    • Terraformation: He was able to summon up parts of different worlds and terraform them together, creating Battleworld in the process.
  • Shape-Shifting:
  • Soul Splitting: He was somehow able to physically, mentally and spiritually split Banner and Hulk into two separate people.
  • Telekinesis: He has shown tremendous telekinetic power, being able to easily restrain and suspend Hulk or the Polytheistic War Deity, Ares, in air. He can even move objects and he used this power to crush Tony Stark inside his new armor.

  • Orb: The Beyonder handed Tony Stark an Orb of his own design, which has a few advanced powers.
  • Regeneration Systems: The Beyonder stated that the Orb will allow Tony Stark the power of biological immortality through indefinite cellular regeneration.
    • Temptation Inducement: The Orb as the power to tempt people to use it's power.
  • Shape-Shifting Orb: The Orb can shape shift into whatever tempts its holder the most, such as an edible Apple for Captain America or a piece of technology for Tony Stark.
  • Demonic Army: The Beyonder gave Ares an army of Ghost Riders.
