Enchantress

Amora the Enchantress is an Asgardian sorceress, and member of the Cabal. She is one of Thor's enemies.

History[]

Early life[]

Amora's parentage is unknown, though it is known she was born in Asgard and has a sister by the name of Lorelei. Amora began learning magic as an apprentice of Karnilla, Queen of the Norns, but was eventually banished. She continued learning magic on her own, notably by seducing others well versed in magic and learning their secrets. In time, Amora became one of the more powerful magic-wielders in Asgard, with her magical arsenal focused on (but not limited to) enhancing her beauty so she can easily bend the will of most mortal men, dominating their minds through their hearts.

Avengers No More[]

Amora is pretending to be serving under the Leader as a member of his new Cabal. She helped Skurge track down the vibranium needed for the Leader's new invention. After the original Avengers had been captured, a team of new Avengers consisting of Vision, Ant-Man, Wasp, Captain Marvel, Ms. Marvel, and Black Panther attacked the Leader's airship. The Enchantress helped hold them off until the Leader has seemingly 'destroyed' the original Avengers. When he was defeated, the Leader called for his Cabal to come to his aid. Upon hearing this, Enchantress and the others revealed that they had no true allegiance to the Leader, that they had actually been recruited by another, before they teleported away.

Under the Spell of the Enchantress[]

Captain Marvel and Ms. Marvel go looking for Thor after discovering the Avengers weren't destroyed, but rather teleported away. They found themselves on an asteroid inhabited by fierce warriors. Upon questioning one of the warriors, they preceded to a giant castle where they found Mjolnir. They discovered Enchantress was using it as a footstool and had brainwashed Thor into becoming her 'toy'. After the heroes broke his brainwashing, Thor helped them defeat Enchantress. She angrily teleported away, leaving them on the crumbling asteroid with the warning that 'he' will come to Earth.

Underworld[]

Amora has been sucked into Battleworld. She poses as a woman named Elsa in order to gain the trust of the Avengers team there, which included Thor, Iron Man, Hulk, and Loki. She traveled with them to a cavern containing the Bifrost. Once there, she revealed her true self and progressed toward the Bifrost, leaving the Avengers to battle giant, carnivorous, acid-spitting worms. She tried to use her magic to start the Bifrost, but it didn't work. Loki broke off from his allies and approached the Enchantress, making her believe he intended to betray the Avengers. He began powering up the Bifrost before he revealed to her that he was actually working with the Avengers and intended to help everyone get back to Earth. The Enchantress angrily knocked him out and grabbed his scepter. She plugged it into the Bifrost and grabbed on, intending to escape to Earth. However, the Beyonder had booby-trapped the Bifrost and it disintegrated her as she screamed in horror.

Personality[]

Amora is cold, calculating and ruthless. Her attitude has made other Asgardians, including Thor, call her witch despite her beautiful looks. She'll do anything to have Thor as her love interest and have a place of their own to rule alongside him, despite his rejections of her, which never fail to infuriate her. Despite that, it is mentioned by Thor that she still values life.

Appearance[]

Amora is an extremely beautiful woman with fair skin, green eyes, and long blonde hair which reaches down to her waist. Beneath her thin eyebrows is a hint of green eyeshadow. She has a voluptuous yet athletic physique with toned broad shoulders, buxom breasts, and long legs with shapely thighs. Amora wears a green, skin-tight Asgardian waistcoat-like corset top, which leaves her shoulders bare and exposes her cleavage. She wears tight green arm sleeves that connect from her middle fingers and ride almost up to her upper arms. For bottoms, she has on glossy green low waist hipster bikini briefs. Upon her head is a darker green tiara, and thigh-high green boots cover most of Amora's legs.

Thor[]

Amora has long been in love with Thor and wishes desperately for him to reciprocate her feelings, going as far as using her seductive skills, magic and hypnotism to forcefully claim his love.

Skurge[]

Skurge is Amora's most loyal companion. He never speaks and rarely shows emotion, although he will apparently do anything, even taking a direct blast from the Muspellheim Norn Stone, to protect her. He battles tirelessly and kills mercilessly if she requests it and has only ever retreated once, doing so to ferry her out of danger. It is theorized that Skurge's loyalty comes from an hypnotic spell Amora may have inflicted on him, as she does to most strong men she meets.

Captain Marvel[]

Amora holds a grudge against Captain Marvel for daring to hit her during the fight on the Leader's airship, and for ruining her asteroid sanctuary.

Asgardian Physiology: Amora possesses all of the various superhuman attributes common among the Asgardians.

  • Superhuman Strength: Amora is superhumanly strong, possessing physical strength roughly average for an Asgardian woman.
  • Superhuman Speed: Amora can run at many high speeds.
  • Superhuman Stamina: She also has good stamina.
  • Superhuman Agility: Amora also is very agile.
  • Superhuman Reflexes: With her quick reflexes, Amora can dodge any attack aimed at her.
  • Superhuman Durability: Amora has durability meaning she can withstand anything that hits her.
  • Superhuman Longevity: As any Asgardian, Amora ages slower than humans, being able to live for thousands of years.
  • Magical Powers: Amora's magical powers are among the most powerful of all Asgardians, surpassing even the likes of Loki. Her magic capabilities grant a wide variety of abilities.
    • Shapeshifting: Enchantress can change the shape of her body to, as an example, be disguised as any object or become the imposter of any person she wills.
    • Flight/Levitation: Enchantress is capable of rejecting any kind of gravitational force, being able to hoover in air.
    • Psionics: Enchantress can read minds, create psychic illusions, or influence any thoughts or actions of any person, as of known point. She can also move any object simply with the force of her thought.
    • Healing Factor: If Amora is injured, her wounds heal much faster than any normal human
    • Teleportation: Enchantress can open portals to any place in space or time in the universe, or even to other realities beyond it.
    • Energy Blasts: Enchantress can manipulate any kind of energy and channel it in a way of her desire, such as plasma beams or energy blasts.
    • Forcefields: Enchantress can create forcefields around herself and her teammates
    • Energy Constructs: Amora can create constructs out of her magical energy like ropes and bindings
    • Transmutation: Enchantress can exchange any object for another item of equal proportions, density or weight.
    • Time Manipulation: Amora can control, slow, replay, speed up time to her will.
    • Illusions control:Amora can project and control illusions to deceive her opponents or enemies.
    • Hypnosis: Amora's eyes are naturally hypnotic to human minds, enabling her to easily enslave a mortal's mind to do her bidding. While hypnotized, her subjects become mindless puppets and will think, do or believe anything she whispers them to. She easily hypnotised Skurge the Executioner to be her personal bodyguard
    • Mind Control: She can use her magic to control minds, clouding someone's focus and can mind control them.
