Yelena Belova (Russian: Елена Белова), also known as Crimson Widow, is an agent of Hydra and Natasha Romanoff's arch-nemesis. She is a supporting antagonist of Season 3: Ultron Revolution, Season 4: Secret Wars, and Season 5: Black Panther's Quest.

History[]

Yelena was trained by the Red Room to be Hydra's very own Black Widow. She worked for Baron Strucker to help him capture the Hulk. However, Yelena's true mission was to take over Hydra and replace Black Widow. She secretly turned her fellow Red Room trainees into her Widow Soldiers using the Winter Soldier technology, but she was defeated by the real Black Widow.

Yelena is stubborn, skilled and wouldn't hesitate when taking out her opponents. She is also someone determined to prove herself such as when Strucker tried to stop her fight with Natasha but Gave her the chance to prove herself in "Seeing Double" Yelena is also rebellious as mentioned by Ant-Man when he said, "I heard you try to restart the Black Widow program and your own protégé took you out." meaning that She took out Baron Strucker too.

Crimson Widow is a beautiful woman with long, blonde hair reaching her back, and blue eyes. She wears a dark jumpsuit similar to Natasha's, except for the neon red piping. Yelena also has a holster for her long red shock bo-staff and golden Widow Gauntlets. Yelena also has a belt with the Black Widow hourglass logo in 'Black Panther's Quest' with some slight changes to her suit.

Weapons Mastery: Just like Natasha, Yelena is highly skilled with different weapons, even wielding her own long red bo staff, contrasting Natasha's dual batons.
Hand-To-Hand Combat: Yelena can perform amazing feats of a combatant as seen during her duels with Natasha and Wasp, and is also a skilled gymnast.
Strength, Speed, and Agility: Yelena has excellent speed, and can sprint fast as well as advanced agility. As seen when she quickly froze Captain Marvel with a freezer ball before shooting Wasp. Her strength is best evident when she threw a dumbbell with excellent strength at Vision.
