The Iron Man Mark 55 Armor is based on the fifty-fifth based on model 71 Iron Man armor created by Kim Jeong yu during his time on Battleworld. This armor works with some form of advanced nanotechnology. According to Tony, it is supposed to be more efficient and powerful than any of his other armor models combined.

It is the current armor Tony Stark uses and is the most advanced armor to date.

History

This armor was developed by Tony Stark during his time in Battle World and later refined with some of the Beyonder's research, such as the suit's materializing and regenerative systems. It is the current armor Tony Stark uses and is the most advanced armor to date as it is able to toe-to-toe with reality-warping beings like the Beyonder and not be damaged or destroyed.

• This armor was developed by Tony Stark during his time in Battleworld and later refined with some of the Beyonder's nanotechnology research. The most notable enhancements to the suit was the suit's materializing systems, teleporting nanites, and regenerative systems.
• Suit Materialization: The Mark 55 materialize around Tony on subconscious command or physical gestures. He can also dematerialize using the same methods. He can also use the same technique to dematerialize or rematerialize his suit's helmet.
• Suit Teleportation: The Mark 55 can also materialize around Tony Stark by teleporting onto him.
• Superhuman Abilities: The Mark 55 also enhances the physical attributes of the user, granting superhuman strength, mobility, and durability. The armor can withstand heavy ballistic attacks as well as rapid strikes from beings like Ares or the Beyonder. The armor also provides him with the strength to physically combat the Beyonder, who was also using an exo-suit of his own.
• Regenerative Systems: The Mark 55 has regenerative systems which also seem to help the user. When the Beyonder used sheer telekinetic force to crush Iron Man in his armor, the armor regenerated within moments and Tony was not scarred or even slightly bruised. It even recovered from the Beyonder's relentless physical assaults within moments.
• Flight Systems: The Mark 55 has special repulsor ports on the soles of the armor's boots and backpack to allow flight at high levels at speeds reaching up to Mach 5.
• Technological Hacking: The Mark 55 was able to hack into the Beyonder's Orb in order to steal the Beyonder's research as well as find a way to escape Battle World. He even engineered a small device which infected the Beyonder's armor with a computer virus, disrupting his armor.
• Onboard Weaponry: The armor has a vast array of offensive weaponry at command.
  • Repulsor Beams: These are focused energy blasts emitted the palms and can repel or disintegrate almost solid objects.
  • Uni-Beam: A more powerful version of the Repulsors emitted from the Arc Reactor itself. It can destroy nearly anything in its path.
  • EMP Blasters: Focused generations of EM energy in a pulse-like form.
  • Missile Launchers: The Mark 55 possesses shoulder-mounted, back-mounted and thigh-mounted missile launchers which can fire multiple missile rockets at long ranges which could demolish a tank.
