Lady Zartra was once the most trusted advisor to the Atlantean warlord Attuma.

History

After the break-up of the Cabal, Zartra switched sides and joined the resistance movement against Attuma. She sent one of her soldiers to the surface world to buy the Serpent Crown from Hydra so she could take control of Giganto and overthrow Attuma.

The Avengers initially opposed her, but after discovering her intentions, helped her in defeating Attuma. In the end, Zartra decided the Serpent Crown was too powerful for anyone and threw it to the depths of the ocean, even though it was later secretly recovered by Hawkeye.

Powers, Skills, and Abilities

Powers

• Atlantean Abilities: Zartra possesses the conventional attributes of Homo mermanus: gills that extract oxygen from water, superhuman physiology to withstand extreme pressures and temperatures, and acute vision. She can swim at approximately 30 miles per hour. She can remain out of water for approximately nine minutes before beginning to suffocate. However, she can operate on the surface by wearing a water-filled helmet or using a chemical that enables her to draw oxygen from the air.
• Superhuman Strength: Zatra possesses superhuman strength far superior than human allow her to overpower Black Widow
• Superhuman Stamina: Zatra possesses superhuman stamina allow her to swim and fight for a long stand period of time.
• Superhuman Agility: With her superhuman speed and swimming skills, she is able to dodge attacks far easier under water.
• Superhuman Reflexes: Zatra reflexes are fast enough to dodge Black Widow's gauntlets electric blasts.
• Superhuman Durability: Zartra possesses superhuman durability make her skin, bones and bone tissue are far denser than normal human. Her durability allow her to withstand Black Widow's gauntlets electric blast.
• Underwater and Land Adaptation:
• High Level Swimming Speed: Under water, Zatra posses superhuman speed allow her to swim faster.
